Dr. Williams’ professional experience spans the administration of public programs, the management of corporate public relations, policy issues, strategic planning, organizational and executive leadership and includes executive appointments with the DuPont Corporation and service as a US Presidential Intern.
Williams holds a doctorate in Urban Affairs & Public Policy, University of Delaware with a specialization in social policy, program planning, and analysis. Williams is an assistant professor and instructor for the University of Delaware’s School of Urban Affairs. She is a frequent keynote speaker on business, diversity, leadership, motivation, and success and contributing author to the inspirational book, Remarkable Women. Williams is the creator of the Spice of Life™ Diversity Card training tool (www.spiceoflifecards.com) , a featured best seller on DiversityInc.com online store.
Dr. Williams is a member of the National Association of Women Business Owners. She is the 2008-2009 President for NAWBO Delaware and the former Director of Business and Community Relations for - Denver Chapter and Chair of the Public Policy Committee. Dr. Williams is also a member of the Board of Directors of the Wilmington (DE) Senior Center.
Dr. Williams was named NAWBO Member of the Year and selected as a finalist in the category of Consultants for the Denver Business Journal Outstanding Women in Business Awards, August 2006 and 2005, respectively. The Delaware Today Magazine named Dr. Williams one of the top 37 women in business in Delaware in December 2005.
Dr. Williams has been an award-winning authorized distributor of training products including DISC with the Inscape Publishing Company since 1995. In 2002 she was named a Solutions Expert and appears as an on-line training and consulting resource to other network distributors.
In November 2001, Dr. Williams received the Diamond Award from the Delaware Government Marketing Assistance Program. In June 1998, she received the professional educational leadership award from the educational the Professional Negro and Business Women, Wilmington Chapter. In 1995, Williams was honored by the the University of Delaware's Presidential Citation for Outstanding Achievement and the Distinguished Alumna Award from the University's College of Urban Affairs & Public Policy.
